Welcome
I'm Gretchen Borgelt, the artist behind Modernstrokes. I live in beautiful Colorado and am inspired daily by the amazing colors, shapes and textures found in nature. I continue to work at bringing this to my canvas through acrylic and mixed media. Many of my works are heavily textured and applied with a palette knife. My interpretation is modern and sometimes abstract. I paint all sizes, however I specialize in larger works. Presently I am showing at local festivals and by private appointment.
